Waiting For Your Arrival

I have already fallen.
My heart is exposed, open,
offered to you as a pillow
on a bed of dreams
waiting for your arrival.

I light candles,
spread rose petals
across the pure white
surface of life.

I pray love.

I place my faith
in your hands.

Stars may turn in the heavens,
the earth may tilt with the seasons,
moons may come and go,
suns may rise and set,
winds may blow
and rains may fall,
and I will keep
this bed of dreams
warm and waiting
for your arrival.

I took this photo of my reflection from the windowed divider in my hotel room. The reflected red pillows appears like a heart exposed!
